The Tennessee Titans have signed linebacker, Bud Dupree to a five-year deal worth $82.5M. A former first round pick in 2015, Dupree has played all six of his NFL seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers and has proven to be a versatile player many times. Dupree racked up a total of 20 sacks in his first 4 seasons with the Steelers which saw them exercise his fifth year option. In his contract year in 2019, Dupree registered 68 total tackles and 11.5 sacks.
The Steelers placed the franchise tag on Dupree last offseason and unfortunately he suffered a torn ACL in the Steelers week 12 win over the Baltimore Ravens back in December. Despite his season being cut short, Dupree still managed to record 8 sacks opposite from TJ Watt at outside linebacker. The Titans will be hoping that Dupree can be the star pass rusher they so desperately needed.
